What Does Bodily Injury & 100/300 Mean?

Bodily Injury means that if you get sued in an accident (like dismembering another ones body part, kill somebody or disfigure somebody) the insurance company will pay your attorney fees, your court costs and if you loose in the lawsuit, the fine up to your coverage.

We recommend having 100/300...

We recommend having 100/300, meaning $100,000 for each person hurt or killed and $300,000 for each accident, this is known as BI. Every state is a bit different but here in Michigan everyone must purchase at least $20,000 per person who is hurt or killed in an accident, $40,000 for each accident (if several people are hurt or killed), and up to $10,000 for damage your vehicle does to properties in another state. This is referred to as 20/40/10, but you can purchase higher limits of BI/PD coverage.

As always, feel free to contact us if you want to ensure you have the best Bodily Injury coverage with your auto insurance.
